The U.S. government is increasingly showing its deep-set, abiding fear of free citizens who are armed. This fear is expressed in the paranoia that is noted on a continuing basis in the halls of federal and state governments, which seek to rob citizens of their firearms and restrict their ability to live in liberty. Free speech is routinely attacked using a variety of methods. A free press is oppressed by government snoops and bullying tactics designed to silence reporters and citizens who blow the whistle on government lawlessness.
